Birmingham German Christmas Market ~ Dec 2010
I went to the Birmingham Christmas Market a few weeks ago, on a random trip to Brum, surprise from some friends 😀 I even got to see the new Harry Potter movie. It was when we had our first snowfalls, oh I thought that was the end of it… (still snowy!) I love German bread, have done since I went to München (Munich) in 1997. So was looking forward to visiting the Christmas market.
I’ll explain who Beanie is later… the duck stayed at home while we went to….. the Peace Festival in Leamington yesterday ( it would have been today but I wrote the Eddie Cochran post first), it’s a yearly event and they have lots of great music, stalls and food. I went with my friends Zee and Kory.
Lillies in my Kitchen ~ April 2010
I love lillies always have, maybe it’s the fragrance that hangs around my house for days, I can smell the aroma the minute I walk through the front door, it’s very welcoming.
Today has been rather lovely, I spent a lot of it under a tree reading a biography on Rimbaud by Graham Robb in the sunshine, quietly enjoying the first real stirrings of Spring.
I also love riding my lovely bike ( a Marin Point Reyes) as to get to this lovely secluded spot away from noise and people I needed to ride there, so I gathered up the essentials (a book, a picnic of sandwiches (which funnily enough even had cucumbers in it… how delightfully British of me…) , juice, yogurt and ginger cake)
