My Love of Ballet Fitness

fitness dvds april 2014 A range of dvd’s I like to use as part of my fitness

I’ve been meaning to write this post for about a year. I’ve been exercising over the last 20 years on and off though in the last 2 years I’m so happy that I found ballet fitness and apart from a break 6 weeks ago from it (as I have been spring cleaning my home) I’m now back at it and so happy to be getting fit again.

Love is all you need ~ seriously

Sometimes those damn curve balls drive you crazy, you feel there are no answers to anything, hopelessness, fear, so I asked the question ( I’m all about asking the question as it works. It’s been bothering me a lot, about what to do…. Here is the answer

This photo was taken in a taxi on the way to work this morning, not being a morning person I watched the bus zoom past me… ooops… oh well. I’ve gone past that a million times and never seen it – funny how things pop up when you need them the most. Love… Jeez I wasn’t expecting that; as being in judgement well it was so much safer –  blame, anxiety, worry, hey isn’t that much more fun!

Inspiration/ Where Are You?

Where are You?

PAC (Peace, Acceptance and Courageousness)

A    G   F   L   A   P

I love the pac man way of looking at this… CAP (Courageousness, Acceptance and Peace) the other way is PAC, as that is where you start from.. (when you are hootless) as you start in peace and we all want to be back there.

In My Garden Sitting With Contentment

My Garden  ~ June 20th 2010

I’m sitting in my garden at my outdoor table and chairs, smelling my honeysuckle bush in blossom writing this on the laptop, I love my wireless router… 😀

June is a lovely time in my garden, I’m not the best gardener in the world, but in June my garden seems to get itself together and look fabulous with very little effort from me, my dad helped me quite a few years ago to plant some shrubs and bushes I’ve added a few more over the years and now it has kind of grown into itself. (Though I’d love a man to come round and mow the lawn on regular basis)

I’m sat here barefoot with my feet in the grass, (I’ve got a nice canopy umbrella as I wouldn’t be able to see what I’m typing if I didn’t.) I’m sat here being so hardcore drinking milk (soya)

I’ve managed to get my squeezebox boom from the kitchen outside enough so I can hear it very well (though it’s in the shade as don’t want that overheating) I can change the music as I have my duet remote control. I’m listening  to a shuffle playlist of P J Harvey I’ve already covered my love for her here.

Sofas and Smoothies

Well,

I was writing a completely different post earlier and this kinda just popped into being all by itself
So this one is first, as it’s about home comforts and food.
Being the Taurean lady that I am; a comfy sofa is the ultimate in pleasure for me 😀

My other sofa – bless, is looking a little tired and it just wasn’t long enough (it’s an important consideration as I have long legs), even though I have fallen asleep on it a million times and squished too many people on it!
It was time for a change

So it comes to the time when a new sofa is to be acquired, luck would have it that my sister was selling hers and I said to her first dibs on it.

It was my birthday last month and my dear dad helped by getting it shipped down to me (we live 300 miles apart)

So after scrubbing the floor and moving the other sofa (might put it in my therapy room, need to measure it to see if it fits first) I haven’t contemplated how I’m going to get the other sofa up the stairs…. eeek
I won’t discuss the state of my stairs after dropping a wardrobe down them (well it was heavy and yes I did it on my own) Continue reading

Mythbusting on the Small Scale (via Prometheus Baked)

Lovely article…just read it

Mythbusting on the Small Scale I’ve been reading rock critic Robert Hilburn’s book Corn Flakes with John Lennon, his nostalgic account of some poignant moments spent with rock n’ roll’s greatest legends. Whenever I read about the old musicians, the one story that revolves itself most often in my h … Read More

Mirror, Mirror

Ahhh Epiphanies great things they are, when the “baseball bat of Life” finally hits you and the jigsaw pieces actually fit.

I was listening to  Get it on by Grinderman this morning – Friday 28th May, just an ordinary day, nothing special as I was getting ready for work and then it suddenly hit me
It’s so bloody obvious and I already had the knowledge – I had used it before and had forgotten about it, how we all get so distracted by the drama of life ( I just needed reminding again, it’s great when you are clear and just know what the next step is)

FAB

This will be the first time I get to see these two perform live; I’m beside myself…
I’ll be off down the M40 towards London, as not sure where else they are playing so off to the Barbican again I saw Ute Lemper there last year
I miss London as the music scene is great, but me blasting down the motorway in my Zed is so worth it
